GC Way Project

The Genuine Contact Way Project began as a book written to share the story of the genesis of the Genuine Contact™ program and approach. As the project evolved, the eBook became only one dimension of what developed into The Genuine Contact Way Project.

Author, Birgitt Williams, is well aware that the written word might leave readers in their mental consciousness only unless she could somehow paint a sufficient picture with her words to engage the feelings of the reader. Throughout the book, she offers opportunity to engage your emotional, spiritual and physical consciousness through a series of reflection questions and activities.

The book is beneficial even without participating in the reflection and question activities. Dependent upon your learning style, you may wish to read the book and absorb all of your learning in this way. You may wish to read the book once to orient yourself, and then again participating in a deeper experience by taking time to complete the reflection questions and activities. You may wish to read the book through the first time, pausing to do the reflection questions and activities as they arise. Whatever option you choose, we invite you to read it over again and again for deepened learning opportunities.

Birgitt believes that the interactivity created by the reader’s reflections,  answers to the questions, and probing what is meaningful to the reader is where personal developmental  learning will take place, not in her written words which are intended simply to stimulate learning.

Using David Kolb’s proven theories regarding learning styles, some people learn best when their feelings are engaged, some learn best when they have the chance to think things through with facts and references, some learn best when they are doing, and some learn best by watching and reflecting. As well as these learning style designations, some people are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners. To engage all of these learning styles required that the team create more than the book and this more expanded creation was called The Genuine Contact Way Project.

We invite you to participate in The Genuine Contact Way Project to the degree that feels right, in the ways that best suit your developmental desires and learning styles. On this website there is a selection of free resources including an extensive bibliography and quotations that inspired the development of The Genuine Contact Way.  As you read The Genuine Contact Way book, you will discover links to additional information on The Genuine Contact Way virtual home. The information available online includes artwork, videos, audio recordings, PowerPoint presentations and articles.  

Products for purchase include prints of the Genuine Contact Way paintings, blacksmith art, and music. , Additional products in development include GC Way Consultant Cards, GC Way Leadership Development Cards, and Storyboards.

It is the intention of the team to have the balance of the project complete by the end of 2010 including an audio book, a hard copy book, monthly sessions with Birgitt Williams, calendar, and study groups for readers of The Genuine Contact Way.
