You can access the story of the development of the project by going to early postings on the blog and a summary of the development can be found in the book. What follows is a different way of telling the story of the development of The Genuine Contact Way Project by using the Medicine Wheel Tool© as a way of mapping the story. In over fifteen years of research in using the Medicine Wheel as adapted as an organizational compass, the PROCESS of how the Medicine Wheel is used successfully in organizations was created. This PROCESS is now called The Medicine Wheel Tool©. The process is shown in the diagram via the circular arrow, beginning with the Purpose, and then going on through leadership, vision, community, management, relationships, and the circle of the whole. There are seven aspects, set within the environment in which the organization gets its work done. Going through the seven aspects in any order other than the one presented here does not achieve the same high quality sustainable results.

And so, a useful way to tell the story of the development of The Genuine Contact Project that is easy to understand is to tell it as it unfolds with the use of the Medicine Wheel Tool©.
Purpose: Inviting organizations to achieve breakthroughs through a shift in consciousness
Leadership: This book is for courageous leaders at both at the helm of organizations sprinkled within organizations as a guidebook to achieving extraordinary results by personally attaining a shift in consciousness and creating the conditions for others to do the same. The guidance reflects the work of Ghandi when he said ‘we must be the change we want to see in the world) and the work of Einstein when he said ‘we cannot solve our problems at the same level of thinking (consciousness) we were at when we created the problems. For an organization to achieve the breakthroughs that are possible, the shift in consciousness must be led from within the organization.
Vision: when consciousness shifts in enough people in an organization, then the consciousness of the organization will shift. As a result of learning from the Genuine Contact Way, this shift in consciousness will lead to personal empowerment, life nurturing lives, life nurturing organizations, and tangible organizational breakthroughs.
Community: anyone who is interested in reading the book is invited to participate in a community of practice.
Management: the learning journey for any individual interested in The Genuine Contact Way is self managed through logging in to the Genuine Contact Way website. For those who are interested but not wanting to buy the book, there are initial steps and resources offered on the website. For those who purchase the book and do not choose to take a workshop, there are additional password protected resources. For those who take one or more workshops, there are additional resources.
Relationships: individuals in the community of practice of the Genuine Contact Way may choose to take the Genuine Contact program or any of its components. This will increase demand for the Genuine Contact program training and will increase demand for services from Genuine Contact professionals. The relationship of the Genuine Contact Way work and the Genuine Contact program worked is lovingly linked and is intended to increase the work for all professionals involved in the Genuine Contact program.
